It's a good thing I fed my brain on Monday!

I was traveling monday morning so spent the 4 hours listening to inspirational and motivational speakers like Jack Canfield. In one of the audios I listened to Jack describes how someone who was helping him was making calls for his upcoming seminar.

The lady had committed to making 3 sales calls a night after coming home from work. Night after night she called and night afternight she heard rejection. ( Does this ever happen to you) But she had committed to making 90 sales calls and so she continued. The last 9 people all said YES! A 10 % closing ration which for seminar sales is great!

So when I started calling this week and I began to hit the wall of rejection, I think about those last 9 people. What if they never had the chance to attend Jack Canfield's amazing seminar because she gave up, or was too tired or felt too rejected or just plain stopped calling.

Some people will want what you have to offer, some won't but as Jack says So what? Next please. :-)

What are you feeding your brain?

People do business with people.......

They know like and trust! One of the first steps towards developing that trust is familiarity. Whether off-line or online the process is the same.

1. Show up regularly-
If you belong to a networking group show up on time every time. This is your business. This is important. If you are developing online business the process is the same. Show up at the same places regularly. If you have a blog make sure you post weekly or daily whatever you choose. If you belong to a group make sure that you contribute on a regular basis. Consistency is the key! People will begin to connect with you and your message and eventually they will want more!

2. Make it all about the other person. This is not about self promotion. Comment on others posts online. Make sure your comments are always positive. Offer tips and suggestions that will compliment the writer. If you network right and you regularly give back you will not have to promote yourself at all. Others will gladly do that for you.

3. Showcase your business. Offer advice, helpful tips and anything that might shine a light on who you are and what you do. This will draw people to your website for more information about what you do.

Is your mind playing havok with your business?

Do you ever have that voice inside that tells you you can't or it won't happen or maybe even "Are you kidding? They will never buy what you are offering. " It keeps us from making the sales calls we need to make and from doing other activities that will enhance our business.

I call this my monkey mind, my friend Pamela calls it her Inner Critic. Well today my monkey mind was very active. Let me tell you what happened!

I just called a lady who my monkey mind said " This is a waste of time she won't be interested"

I called anyway.:-) Her response " I would LOVE more information. I am busy this week but if you call me on Monday we can schedule an appointment.

The moral of this story; Tell your monkey mind to take a hike!

Today I will

**Today I will tame my over active mind that puts limits on my ability to grow my business.

**Today I will simply put myself out there. I will talk and tweet and link and simply connect with as many people as I can.

**Today I will tell the world what I have to offer and will wait in excited expectation.

**Today I will believe that I can do and be anything.

**Today I will move forward in action to be and do all that I can.

Today really is the first day of the rest of my life!

**Today I will create new opportunities.

**Today I will uncover new possibilities.

**Today I will move forward in action.

**What will you do today?

Who are you listening to?

My friend Linda always lifts me up. She is so positive and always urges me on with my ideas. Now I don't mean to say that she supports any lame brain idea I might come up with. LOL

She listens. I mean she really listens and she wants to see me succeed. She offers encouragement and continually tells me that I can.

Do you have people in your life who tell you "Yes! You can" If not I suggest finding some.

Often the people closest to us are afraid to see us fail. They are so afraid that they actually set us up for failure by constantly telling us that this idea or that idea probably won't work. They don't intentionally set us up for failure it's just that they are too close. Maybe they have seen us unhappy when a plan we had didn't work and they don't want us to experience that again. They want us to be safe. There is nothing wrong with that. :-)

However, when you are trying to get your sales up or your business going you need someone who will be there pushing and pulling you up the ladder of success. You need someone who will notice the holes in your plan and help you see how you can fill those holes while always believing in you and your ability to succeed. This is often why people hire a coach to help them achieve their goals. A coach has no agenda other than helping you to succeed.:-)

So find a coach or cheerleader today and hang around them often. You will soon find your dreams becoming a reality!
